Start a new auto claim

You can use SGI's Auto eClaim submit an auto claim online. You can not use it to file an injury claim or if the vehicle's glass was damaged by objects thrown or falling from another vehicle.) You can start your eClaim by visiting this page. Alternatively, on MySGI, click Claims in the top navigation bar. Then click Submit an auto claim under the Submit header and you will be redirected to the appropriate page.

When you have an auto extension policy not through SGI

If your extension auto (e.g. lower deductible, rental car, etc.) is through a company other than SGI, check with your broker for instruction on how to begin the claim process with them.

When not to use this service

  • Injury claims - Follow the auto injury claims process.
  • Windshield repairs - If you have damage from a road hazard, such as a stone chip, go to your auto glass repair shop with your extension policy information. The shop will file your repair directly with us.

Before you start

It will take approximately 15 to 45 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity of your claim.

You can save the information at any time while filing your claim. After saving the claim, you can return at any time to add more information using the provided claim number.

The claim will stay open until an adjuster from SGI contacts you and completes the claim with you.
